Each year in August, the forest at Amamoor becomes a satellite-city complete with a general store, great food located in dozens of take-away food outlets, bar facilities, phones, EFTPOS and other essential services. This is to cater for the thousands of music fans who flock to the site to soak up the phenomenal atmosphere while enjoying the best music in the country with numerous venues at this hallmark Australian festival. While most choose DIY camping, many opt to indulge themselves in “Banjos”, the Muster’s on-site accommodation facility .
Banjos, as part of the Gympie Music Muster, is a project of the Gympie Apex Club and is supported by Gympie Cooloola Rotary Club and several other not for profit organisations.
BANJO’S B&Blocated along the banks of the beautiful Amamoor Creek within the Muster site, Banjo’s offers exclusive private tent accommodation with breakfasts. Within the Banjo’s secluded area, your well-appointed cabin-style tent is ready for you when you arrive – tents are spacious with three fully screened large windows, full front door with awning . Complete with internal lighting, carpet and beds.Too easy! Plenty of hot, clean showers and toilets are exclusively for Banjo’s patrons’ use, and located within the Banjo’s area.
Upon arrival at the Muster main gate, patrons will need to show proof of purchase their pre-purchased tickets before continuing through the campgrounds to ‘Banjos’. After being welcomed at the reception area, they will then be escorted to their allocated tent. It’s then simply move in and make yourself at home. ‘Banjos’ staff will be happy to assist with parking, the parking area is within the grounds adjacent to the facility. Unless leaving the site, patrons will find they will not need their vehicle for the duration of the event – the entertainment area is within easy walking distance to ‘Banjos’, and ‘Banjos’ courtesy buses regularly circuit the site.
