Tent City Hire has been welcoming patrons to the Woodford Folk Festival since 1995.

This year, Tent City for our overnight campers is returning to the Season Campgrounds! 

Overnight Tent City ticket holders won’t be able to park in the Season Campgrounds. But don’t worry! You can grab a Long-Term Day Vehicle Pass to get temporary access and drop your gear off right at your tent. After that, hop on the Tent City shuttle, running between the Eastern Bloc Transit Lounge and your cozy campsite—it’s a smooth and easy ride to your home away from home. 

Staying more than one night? Great choice! You’ll be able to pick up your next day’s wristband right from the Tent City reception—easy and convenient! 

 Patrons attending the festival and staying at Tent City Need to  purchase FESTIVAL TICKETS that INCLUDE CAMPING and A CAR PASS FOR TIME OF STAY, 

Upon arrival, patrons must exchange their tickets for festival armbands before proceeding to Tent City. After being welcomed at the reception area, patrons will be escorted to their allocated tent – move in, and  enjoy!

Accommodation packages are available as single, twin/triple share or up to five share in our two room tents. Twin share is ideal, allowing plenty of room for beds, luggage and easy movement. Families and groups can also be allocated tents together, but it is necessary to mention this when booking. For families with small children the two room tents are ideal as everyone is under the one roof and there is still a dividing wall between the two rooms for privacy. This allows up to five people to be accommodated together under one roof.  Again  ask for this when ordering.

The tents are carpeted, screened and fitted with a light. All Tent City accommodation includes fold-up bed/s and mattress; you will need to bring your own bedding (sleeping bag or sheets, blankets & pillows etc.) if linen packs are not ordered.

Alternatively  a limited number of linen packs are available for hire. They consist of 2 sheets, pillow case, pillows , doona and doona cover (towels and toiletries are not included). Blankets are in store if an unexpected chill occurs. Cost is $60 for a single bed and $80 for a double bed. Linen packs must be pre ordered.

As a special bonus, your bed is made and ready for you the first evening of your stay at Tent City, if you do hire your linen pack.

The hire of camping chairs and tables is also available for your stay and has certainly proved extremely popular for those traveling with limited luggage space.

Plenty of hot showers/toilets are provided by our shower/toilet trucks,  exclusive to Tent City Hire patrons these ammenities are far from normal camping options.

Large hospitality marquee, BBQ’s, cold rooms, gas rings, microwave ovens, etc also offers complimentary tea and coffee 24 hours daily.

Regular patrons will attest to the convenience, warm, friendly atmosphere and cooperative staff that makes this facility a popular alternative – these patrons have become friends over the years and we look forward to catching up with familiar faces and adding new ones to our ever-growing Tent City “family”.
